I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about these type of bloodlines and what crosses well on them for a potential barrel horse. But I am playing with the idea of breeding this mare. So who would you recommend? She's a palomino. Structurally correct. 15.1 or 2 and heavy muscled. She's a nice mare.

I think Blazin Jetolena would cross really well on her just from looking. You'd get his good old running blood mixed in.

I'm also a huge fan of Firewater Ta Fame crossed on both running AND cow mares. He has a daughter named Stitches Smoke N Fame who won Hamilton this past weekend. My friend trained her as a filly and won a bunch on her locally. Sold her to Lindsay Trammel who has just taken her to a whole new level of competition and is really letting her shine on a big scale. I know of trainers who request babies out of cow mares by Stitch too.

We've tossed around Dazzler. But wouldn't we have a 50% chance of a cremello breeding yellow to yellow?

Best advise, my friend has a broodmare by him and says she is sweet and has good bone. She now has a nice stud colt out of that mare and the stallion panama edition.

I would inquire about Perks Alive. I know he's crossed well on cowbred and non running bred mares but not sure about that particular cross.

I really like my cowbred crossed on First Wrangler. He would definitely give you speed and last I heard he was pretty cheap. I know a lot of people don't like them for barrels, but most I have seen are running bred crossed on him.

I also contemplated breeding one of my non-running bred mares to Lead the Field. Not sure if he's been crossed on anything like that, but Erin is great to talk to!

You'd have a 25% chance of a cremello.  But if you didn't want one, you'd get one for sure LOL.
The last palomino mare I bred to him had a sorrel.  Go figure.

I'd really look into Dashin Dynamo. I've booked our only cowbred mare to him for this year; she's also got some Watch Joe Jack on her papers. https://www.stallionesearch.com/show_stallion.asp?horse=1239

Laico Ladiesman,  , siring some very nice foals. First crop just turning 4 yrs. He is in your price range and has all the  proven pedigree a sire needs as well as athleticism , brains and bone. Check him out before you make your final decision .

Judge Cash or Pappasito are the first 2 that come to mind, but I guess JC is priced too high?  I have loved my horses that were foundation/working bred crossed on straight run.

I'm also breeding one of my mares to Awesome Chrome. Hes a nice double registered (AQHA & APHA) sire with proven offspring
. Good looking too.

ETA: Awesome Chrome is a full brother to Okey Dokey Dale, the only paint son of FDD, and is the sire of Shawne Chrome. He's also a 1 M sire.

I've been looking I like this these - if it were me I'd be looking for a bay in hope of getting a buckskin. I'm digging looking for these little gems... LOL ... I could probably sit here and do this all day.. LOL

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cartels+feature - more main stream

http://www.renedanjet.com/ - this article he sired- http://www.onlinedigitalpubs.com/display_article.php?id=190467

joaks jet moon - I cant find anything on him but hes out there/ by Maudies joak ( Maudies Joak, is the only barrel stallion to win every major rodeo in the United States with winnings exceeding $300,000. 1976 GRA World Champion; 1975, 1976, 1977 NFR Average Winner; 1975, 1976, 1977 winner of Fastest Time at the NFR; record holder appearing at NFR 5 times and never hitting a barrel. Qualified two different riders to the NFR and is the sire of Suak 2 time NFR barrel Horse. ) Bad news is I know nothing of his bottom side... I'm looking for bay by maudies joak with something well known on the bottom.. :(

also a truckle feature horse with Shawnee bug, or straw fly.. something similar... in a perfect world.

Papposito is a looker too... and well bred no doubt.
