Location: The South | Better Barrel Races posted this on Facebook today. I'm bummed for her because she probably would have done great with Dillon at The American, but glad she wasn't hurt worse.
Here's what BBR posted:
Bad news this morning from Callie DuPerier. She was working her mare yesterday, made a little run, pulled her up and the mare pitched with her. Callie said she rode her the first jump but then she pitched again and threw her over the mare's head. Callie landed on her head and shoulder. Knocked her out and she woke at the hospital. She suffered a severe concussion and blew her shoulder out...torn rotator cuff. This injury is taking her out of the American competition. All of us at BBBR have Callie in our thoughts and prayers today and are so sorry to hear this news. |
