I lost my love 9 days ago. And I just wanted to let everyone know of a wonderful thing that happened today. My husband and I took my horse to the local vet when he was choking. The vet tried and tried to clear the blockage, but finally sent us on to K State. The vets there were wonderful. The were very professional and so kind. When we saw the damage that had been done and knew that there was no hope, they were so kind. Hugs and caring words from all.
Well, today when I arrived home, there was the package in the mail of his tail and a print of his hoof. But the letter that was sent really melted me. One of the students that had worked on my boy had made a donation in Sugar's name, It will put him in a memorial book in the K-State library. It really touched me that a total stranger would do this, A huge thank you to her and I wish I could tell her in person.

Wow, they definitely are one of a kind up there at k-state. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, k-state has such wonderful students/vets/people up there!
