| I'm not a fan of his but I did get a little choked up at how happy he was. That was very cool.
That wreck of Danica's sent my heart to my throat. She was impressive up until that point.
With Mark Martin retired, I don't know where to lay my loyalty. I like Logano, Danica and Truex.
And i'm a bit sentimental for Gordon since him and Martin swapped paint often back in the old days..

What!! Jr. would be short for Dale Earnhardt Jr who is the son of Dale Earnhardt! The number 3? The great NASCAR driver of all times? The black car? Amazing! |

I was sad that I slept through it!
We had a really long day and when I relaxed on the couch, that was the end for me! |

You did not just say that. Have you been drinking too many Bud Lights? Eating too many Peeeeecans? I just don't understand your epic failure of not knowing the coolest Nascar driver EVER! |

The delay actually worked out well for us. I set the DVR for the American and also for the Daytona as hubby and I were going to be packing bearings on my horse trailer. Since the Daytona had such a rain delay it was just starting up again when we got home. I was jumping around screaming the last couple laps. I had the dogs barking and the floor shaking from me jumping around. I also got to rub my hubby's nose in the fact his precious Jimmy Johnson got his butt kicked. |

I don't catch any television channels. I just have a tv for movies lol. That, and there is no way in heck that I am going to watch a bunch of cars go round and round on a racetrack over and over and over again. I would would get dizzy. |

Er.....that would be dizzier! Honestly when my hubby and I first started dating he started taking me to the local dirt track races for dates. Um yeah - it was loud, dirty, and boring as hell watching cars go around. So my payback was I made him go to Canterbury Downs and watch the horse races. He sat there tapping his foot and finally said......its so quiet I don't know what to do! LOL I still have no desire to go to the local track but I do love me some Nascar. I will say I don't watch the entire race. I like the ending when my man wins. |

Perhaps if I could just watch the final lap it would be more entertaining lol. |

Location: NC | He was like a little kid. I loved it.
Best part was when they went to interview him after he go out of his car in victory lane, and they all had to wait until he hugged and congratulated EVERY SINGLE member of his crew. He gave all credit to his entire crew, even the guys back in the Hendrick shop.
Class act. All the way around. Always has been.
Jr will always be my #1. Ever since he drove the #3 AC Delco car in the Busch series. Still have that t-shirt somewhere......
Last year we tried the fantasy league deal they started. I was in 1st place overall in the nation for 3 weeks. Then I stopped. Hubby wasn't too happy about the fact that I just picked who I liked. And still won points. LOL
I picked 4 of the top 5 finishers last Dayton 500. He couldn't believe it. LOL

That is awesome! I was always a fan of Sr and then when Jr started in the Busch series I became a fan of both. When Dale died I automatically took my entire alliance to Jr. He sure is a class act and has maturity beyond his years racing after he lost his dad. He's been in the spotlight since he was young. I'm sure he likes to have fun but you never hear of him getting in trouble, you never hear about feuding with other drivers. He's no nonsense like his dad was. My husband and I were so choked up watching him first take off his helmet in the car to do the Polish victory lap but to do it so slow and get as close to the fans as possible waving at them. Then like you said to hug each and every one of his crew members, put Rick Hendricks in the window frame and take him for a drive. I don't think Jr even took the time to spin out in the grass! June Bug. His dad is smiling down on him. |
