I tried on a cheap loom that I bought at a local craft store and seem to have the steps figured out... I have watched alot of youtube videos and read things. I was not happy with the "cheaper" stuff that I bought so I ordered some stuff from beadshop.com. Impatiently waiting on that to get here!
What kind of loom do you use? Handmade? One that you bought?
I was finding it difficult to get a loom that would work for a lengthy piece like a hatband... my hat measured to be 23 3/4 inches.
I was also not able to find anything about attaching the two ends together to make the continuous band, but I decided to go with a version I saw in a video that used some suede cord and pony/transition beads.
Cheap looms and beads are no bueno. They just makes it harder to make a piece that looks good. On my hatbands, I just sew small strips of soft leather on the ends so they can be tied on the hat. I would think it would it would be tough to make it the right size to fit on a hat with the ends sewn together..... But I'm not always great at making things the right size. lol
