I have a friend who just moved here to TX this last year after some major family issues... the rest of her family basically disbanded (lol) and are either in Tennessee or Florida. She brought 3 of her horses with her here and left the rest with siblings and parents. One of the horses she left behind is an older gelding and her mom rescued him once many years ago and they all grew up riding him. I'm not 100% on the story but who ever has been keeping him says he needs to go ASAP or he's going to the sale barn where he would most certainly end up on a truck to Mexico.. he's basically geriatric I guess. I just found out she has been desperately trying to get the money together to have him shipped to her family in Florida and thought I would see if anyone was going to be headed south on that route any time soon.... I asked her to tell me the exact cities, etc so I could check around for her. Surely we can find a way to get this guy home without her having to raise $1000 to ship him. She's already willing to pay but maybe we could save her some... maybe someone with an extra hole could just use some extra diesel $???
eta here's the fundraiser page she started with a little more of the story and pic of the sweet old guy...surely we can find him a ride....
