Location: Oklahoma | Has anyone ever been to one? Or know anything about her riding style? I will be going to one of her clinics next months and was just wanting other opinions. I got some insight from some of my friends before I signed up, but just wanted to see what the BHW community thought! |

I have to agree with Riley! Also she is a student of Ed Wright, so she teaches a lot of his style and methods. For sure will be money well spent. |

| I am sending two horses to her in a couple weeks. Driving 17 hrs each way LOL. So we have chatted and what I like is that she teaches the horses to get themselves around the barrel with minimum rider help. That and she insists on them having the proper foundation, so I'm confident that while it may take longer for them to be patterned (she didn't break them) but it will be done right.
I'll be picking these two up when they are ready and dropping off my 3yo then. |

We had drove 5 hours to ride him/ run on several occasions, I was trying to do my research on him, googling owners and results. I was so excited when I read all the good things about her. I figured if she owned and branded him, he must of been decent. I bought him thru a broker/ agent, who had never competed on him. So, I contacted Liana, told her the situation, he was really nice, but we didn't know too much about him. Her response was. " Yes I started him, but I sold him several years ago. What I know about him is irrelevant, You should contact his previous owners...." Needless to say, I was so disappointed. I thought everything about a horses past was relevant, especially their start. I am always happy to tell everything I know about a horse I once owned, and love to hear how they are doing. Glad to know she is a student of Ed Wright, I will definitely try to attend one of his clinics. (on a side note, this horse has a SOLID foundation!! and maybe she just isn't a talker) |

If the horse had been gone from her for years.. there is no telling what had been done to him, and for her to give a good report, and then him be a total mess... I think she was just covering her own.. ya know.

She wouldn't want to promote a horse if she doesn't know what happened to him after he left her barn. I don't blame her for that. |

| She's not a "talker" but she will educate you. It will definitely be money well spent. She is a great horsewoman. She likes a horse very soft and supple but she does not use harsh methods to get them there. She teaches self carriage and she likes guiding light hands. She will want you to be in time and in balance with your horse. I would love to spend some more time with her. She will definitley tell you the truth about yourself and your horse, no sugar coating, but not in a mean way. She will also tell you if your horse is not ready or needs to do something else.

Location: Texas!! | Oh, I understand. I just always try to contact people on a horses papers, if they have them. I try to be a responsible buyer, and do my research. I was really excited to see her name!! And I do believe she puts an awesome foundation on a horse, because this horse has one. He is very well behaved. We just can't seem to keep him tuned on his rate. If she ever comes down this far or has a video, I will be first in line! I would love to ride this horse right!! Now that I know she is a student of Ed Wright, that gives me hope!! I will research his techniques, and he does do clinics in this area from time to time! |

This specific clinic is full. I got lucky and one of my friends is helping her to set it up. It is here in Stillwater OKlahoma. She only took 12 students for this one I think. I am not 100% sure how to find out about her clinic, they arent on her website I dont think. My friend just told me about it and this one was pretty much word of mouth I think. |

I bought him thru the broker, then contacted her. He promoted his self...lol! He does make 1-D runs "sometimes", and has won some jackpots. Just not very consistently, I just need to lean to ride his style. Not the push/ push style of a cow horse that I'm use too. Like I said I'm am really excited about this thread, now I have hope!! |

This was my experience also. Bought a horse with her brand, that she had owned. She didn't have much to say, but it had been years since she had him. Don't blame her and I bet she gets this same call often and she has handled many horses over the years.
With that being said, I loved the horse! Had such a great start on him. I have also heard wonderful things about her. Money well spent I would say!

My two year old will be going to see her in April after she has her first 30 days (a good friend of my husband's who rides working cowhorses). She's just going for her foundation this year (90 days) with Liana and will go next year to start her pattern. |

Leeanna told me she suspected EPM. I had the horse checked but was not full blown positive but I kept that in the back of my head. Last fall after repeated lamenss, weightloss etc I got pushy with my vet to treat her. Pheobe is a new horse! And doing great! I owe it all to Leeanna. She is not a lady of many words but when she speaks LISTEN!!! She will say something important!! |

| Been to 1 of her clinics, would gladly go to another. She has also had 2 of my horses at her place for training. not much on words, extremely genuine, and her methods will apply to any horse, at any skill level, with any rider. Do not be afraid to ask questions and have a great time!! |

I believe that you both are talking about the same horse.
That being said, if he had just come straight from my place it would be quite different. That particular horse hadn't been at my place in several years . The only thing I know for sure is that he has my foundation on him which will never go away. Past that, there are many riders and years that have a much greater influence.
If I hurt someone feelings, I certainly apologize. |

| Our Lil Monster just returned from her after 60 days. He is 3 this year and a stallion at that. She did a outstanding job. He had already had lots of round pen work and was VERY green broke. After just 60 days with this incredible trainer he was ready to start on the pattern when I brought him home. He is amazing! And it all goes back to the solid foundation. I will not hesitate to send our next in line to her. |
