| The greatest struggles in life are the struggles we have with God. Often, we yield to temptations and feel anger because we do not understand the ways of God. We may look at the wicked prospering and question why. We see ourselves as faithful and wonder why God seems silent.
This passage begins with an exhortation to not fret or become discouraged and is sprinkled with commands against becoming angry. The answer to how we can do this is found in verse 11 "But the meek"........ We received Christ by humbling ourselves at the cross without any sense of entitlement or selfish ambition Colossians 2:6 says "As you therefore has received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him"
Once we have received Christ, we are to walk in that same humble manner. We are to have no sense of entitlement , no demand for our way, no ego that must be stroked. This humble, cross-centered life is reflected in the psalmist's commands. "TRUST IN THE LORD" As you trusted Him with your soul at salvation, trust Him with daily living. "DELIGHT" or enjoy the Lord. "COMMIT YOUR WAY" Have God's ambition, not your own. Desire His will. Then "REST IN THE LORD" When we want what He wants, it follows that we can rest from our stress ......TRUSTING HIM WITH THE OUTCOME.
Psalm 37:1-11 please read
Psalm 37: 5 Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.
7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way
Father, I ask for Your Hand to guide me today, help me be patient for Your BLESSING that is coming my way! I ask for Your Grace and Mercy in all things I do, that they will bring Glory and Honor to You. IN THE MIGHY NAME OF JESUS I PRAY AMEN
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Really needed to hear this today. Been having a wide range of emotions about having to move. I know I need to be patient and trust in God. | |
