Im mostly a lurker on her but I do have a question. My one and only pregnant girl took a fall this afternoon. She was cutting up in the paddock and slipped on a wet patch of grass.  It wasnt that bad but she did slide a bit on her side. She is due next month. Has anyone had this happen? Should I be worried? I know there is not much I can do but wait and see.

They are pretty protected in momma's belly. There are no guarantees though. We have had mares slip and fall, take a kick from another mare etc and have healthy foals. I did have one mare that I suspect took a bad slip or fall last April during one of the 3 nasty storms that hit back to back, she aborted sometime during the storm so I don't know what happened but she was only a month from foaling. She was also 20 so maybe something not right, baby born early??? Who knows. Crossing fingers and saying a prayer your girl and baby are fine
