Location: Northern CA | Anybody want to share their pictures of 2013 babies? I feel like mine is very much on the small side. He just turned 10 months, but still looks soooo baby. I am used to the sale fitted cutting and RCH yearlings, curious to see what everybody else's "normal" yearlings look like.

Location: Northern CA | Thanks! I would say mine is close to the size of the bay. I am just so used to seeing the "super" yearlings at the sales, that I keep thinking mine looks like a runt, not to mention the winter coat doesn't help either. Thanks for sharing. |

Location: Desert Land | This is a TERRIBLE picture of this colt, but just to show for size reference. The sorrel behind him was measured at the vet the other day to be just under 15.1hh. He is an April baby. His parents are huge and I think he is going to be, too.

| My foal was born May 25th. These photos are from January. Her dam was 15.1 and sire was 14.2. Not sure how tall she is. I thought she was kinda shrimpy, but neither of her parents are huge.

AQHA only recognizes 16 colors.. here is their color chart for you to study ..

The rubicano gene has not been specifically identified and the disbursement of white hairs across the body and other white markings have been accumulated over the years by vets, AQHA inspectors/judges and DNA hobbyists to give it the name rubicano.
Since Rubicano is not a recognized AQHA color ... it will not be on a horses registration papers ..
You can see the frosty glow in the sun and coon tail of Frosty when compared with her buddies cherry red body coat.
Hope this helps to understand the term rubicano ...

Location: The Oklahoma plains. | I do understand the term:) just clarifying incase I missed a new AQHA color designation. It's like saying you have a cherry sorrel- vs a lemon sorrel. A romantic way to describe one. But the papers say sorrel. Some even foolishly call them roan- lmbo. |
