List some of the names you like to see or look for on the dams side of a pedigree. I know the big names Dash Ta Fame, Frenchmans guy, Fire Water Flit, BB, SB, etc. But am curious to see others picks and see if there is any common denominators. It can be a mare or stallion.

Myself I love to see Strawfly Special on the dam side.

That's a lot of stallions. What about mares?

I've been looking for a nice streakin la jolla for a while but they either aren't quite what I want/like or it hasn't been a good time :(.

I look for daughter's of the sires I mentioned or I really like to see them on the dam side.......I like the bottom dam line to be as stacked as possible......for instance, this mare is out of a high earning Easy Jet daughter....I haven't been able to get my links to post for a while...sorry.

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/passin+easy+secrets

Here's a stakes producing daughter of Pritzi Dash out of a stakes producing daughter of Coup de Kas....

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/minnie+coup+de+dash

Most of the sires I listed are known broodmare sires. Hope that helps.

eta: Streakin Lajolla daughter's produce speed. Just look at the results of the winner's at Louisiana Downs right now. You will see a number out of daughter's of SLJ. He's a very common denomenator.

Dashing cleat, in hopes to get the large heart gene

Judge cash, as he is becoming know for broodmare sire

Easy Jet I like to see this in first two generations

First down dash in the second generation

Disco Jerry, still kicking myself for selling my granddaughter as I am seeing more of these making it back to futurity finals with jerry on the bottom side

I would like to see such mares as: Miss Fortunes Fool, Casady Casanova, Firewater Fiesta, Willys Rockin, Flying Hi Babe, Ms Wahini Bug or even Slash J Harletta.  These should be considered as Blue Hen mares because of their produce.

What!  Yes he is the sire of the mare I was trying to think of WR Cassia.  I believe she is in Brazil now.

Love any babies by Fast Moon Chic from up here in Alberta
http://www.sandyridge.ab.ca/stal_pgs/chic.htm
Or some others are Special Effort, Streakin Six, Mr Eye Opener, easy jet,Doc O Dynamite, Paddys Irish Whiskey or anything with Rocket Wrangler, or Berk Betarock. Don't know many babies out of the last one, but my old horse was by him and loved that horse!
I love the racier bred horses, but for no real reason except that that's all I've ever rode.

I am a Casady Casanova lover. Lost one of my daughters this last fall unfortunately, sold one last year, but still have 1 left.

Good call on Copauino but her dam Copasetti produced really nice horses! I have also been thinking about this, I really like Miss Jelly Roll, Topless Dancer, Corona Chick, First Prize Rose. I also decided that any rebs Policy Mare.

I have daughters of:
Strawflyin Buds, Reckless Dash, Jet of Honor, Stoli, Confederate Leader, Rock Solid Jess, and my Shazoom is leaving in a few days so I won't have her anymore.

What I love about their bottom side of my Reckless Dash is her dam is Leavem Lucille and she's produced several really nice barrel horses. Levin Lucille namely, followed by Lucy Lucille, then my Lucy.

The Shazoom mare has a very strong female family. Her dam, Dashin La Jolla, is the dam to Dashin Czar who in the week of the BFA World Championships won over $100,000- as a late 3 year old.

The Rock Solid Jess mare has a very strong female family- namely her second dam Runaway Dee Dee by Runaway winner. Bobby Cox owns Runaway DeeDee and several of her daughters.

The Jet Of Honor mare on the bottom side is old school cow blood. She is 19 years old so a lot of the stuff on her papers are older. she's a bad cat still.. we love her.

The Strawflyin Buds is out of a daughter of Rare Form…the confederate leader out of a Packin Sixes mare..

And My Stoli mare's dam, Shiney Miles, produced Rare News among a few others.

On a mare's side I'd rather have consistent, outstanding produce (ie: stakes horses) than names. I'd also rather have that than a blue hen mare 2-3 generations back if the dam hasn't don't anything.

I love Separatist daughters, but they'd need the right dam for me to buy them.
My biggest criteria is stakes performance, and if the mare isn't old enough to have produced it, she needs to have a family behind her for me to spend money breeding her.

I have a wide assortment of genetics standing in my pasture...but my mares share some distinct qualities with the each other.

I have a gelding that's a grandson on the dams side of Rebs Policy. I love that guy to death, only gelding that has a permanent home here... I have had him for 15 years so far.

Corona Chick is my FAVOURITE mare hands down. I have said it before and will say it again. You can't deny that all of her babies aren't proving themselves in some way or another. Her and her dam.... although strawberry silk is a close second. I love first prize rose as well. Maybe I'm a secret Beduino fan, and I don't even own one!
