Just read another post with someone moving to Texas and figured this would be the best place to ask...
The hubby and I are relocating to the North Dallas area the end of the month and I have only been able to find Hunter Jumper barns in this area. Does anyone have any recommendations on boarding for 1 gelding in this area. I am hoping to find a place that has an arena and trails :-)

From Denton .. take Hwy 377 to Whitesboro and on to the Red River .. Oklahoma border. ... You will find all kinds of horse facilities from halter to cutters and reiners for miles and a mile east or west along this hwy .... barrel racing barns are located around the Collinsville and Pilot Point areas ... no trails in these areas .. too heavily populated with horse outfits ... Friendly people ... so stop and ask your questions and they will be glad to help you find the right barns ..
Also I35 from Denton thru Gainesville Tx are horse places ... more difficult to locate since most will be out of sight from the interstate .... Era Tx has lots of horse places ..
There is an arena in Denton that has barrel races all the time ... would someone on here give her the name, directions, nights and associations that run there frequently for her to contact or go visit with the barrel racers running to find her a barn for her horses.

Thank you ladies, yes Dallas is huge and it is hard to estimate driving times because of traffic. We will be in Grapevine, it's seems pretty metropolitan there :-/
