Who feeds in the trailer? Why or why don't you? If you had a horse that has a history of ulcers and gets nervous in the trailer, would you ?

I always try to keep some hay in the trailer. My horse love nibbling on something whenever he's in the trailer. It keeps him from getting too nervous and lets him concentrate on something instead of being stuck in a trailer.

Always feed hay in the trailer.  gives them something to do and help keep their belly's happy.  I tie up a slow feeder net even in the trailer with mangers cause they always seem to push the hay out of the mangers.  I do not want they with their head on the floor if I need to stomp on the brakes for some reason.

I keep hay in front of them at all times, even for a short trip. I offer water at every stop on long hauls and don't feed them grain or pellets until 1 hour after I arrive at my destination.
