Finished this piece last night. I'd shot the photo over the summer at a mounted shooting & really liked it but it took me a while to find enough free time to decide to tackle drawing it! It took about a week & a half from start to finish to complete this one. Now I think I'll work on one that's a little bit easier! The harness & fancy headstalls on these boys where a challenge to say the least.

lurker - 2014-03-13 8:08 PM One of my very good friends does leather work and her work always impresses me. I feel the same about your drawings. You have such great talent!
Thanks :) My dad does leatherwork, he actually just finished my new pair of chinks. I absolutely love looking at quality leather work but it's a skill I don't have! I get lost with all the different tools.....I'm much better off with a set of pencils!

sorrel horse ranch - 2014-03-13 10:20 PM Gorgeous. Funny that you posted this. I have always wanted a painting of a pair of draft horses in harness. You are just fantastic!
I have too!!!!! What sucks is I drew this big (20x30) so I could include all the details but NOWHERE in my house do I have room for it :( So it has to look for a new home & I'll frame myself a small copy.

This had become a problem for me that I didn't used to have until I have had to move into my smaller house. I still have pictures in the closet that haven't been hung. Let me measure and see what I can do and I will get back to you. I also have 3 giclee paintings by Bruce Greene. Would you have any idea how I could go about selling them. They are definately too big for my house. Will get back to you tomorrow.

Well I am afraid it is going to be too big for me too. It is not much smaller than my smallest Bruce Greene. It just makes me sick because I think it is just so beautiful.

Well dang it! It can be cut down a few inches but I doubt that's enough to make a big difference. Going to have to talk hubby into putting an addition on the house for my with a BIG wall!!!

A few inches just might help. When you have a chance let me know those dimensions.

Sara,
I have been super snowed under and have not had a chance to really study the pic you are doing for me since you sent it. I get on BWH here and there as 'therapy' lol while I have two or three other things on the go. When I get a spare half hour or so to study the pic I will email you. (Wishful thinking!!!)

Not a problem in the least! I had this moment where I thought I was almost caught up with the rest of my orders & was going to take you're down & spend more time on it....then 5 more orders came in!
