I may be moving to Spokane for a job and I dont know anything about the area. How hard is it to rent a horse property? Are there areas to stay away from? Just really all the good, bad, ugly, and in between would be great!

My best friend lives in Princeton Idaho not too far away. I know that area is beautiful and has lots of snow. She works for the university of washington

I live here and I like it. For area's to stay away from Airway Heights due to how rocky the ground is, not good for horses IMHO. Our city has a river that runs through the middle of it so a lot of pretty places. Riverfront Park is a favorite of mine. People here are nice and for the most part helpful. Our city is growing in leaps and bounds so it is changing quickly, but many still say it has a small town mind.... Whatever.

Spokane is part of WA NBHA district 4. I personally don't run at many if any of their races anymore. The group has too much drama and so I actually just changed states (MT) for this season. Spokane has a wide variety of horse events and trainers. From top dressage barns to reining trainers. You are not too far from Moses Lake, Pasco or Walla Walla! Good central location

Wind blown - 2014-03-14 1:26 PM Thanks everyone! Ive looked on craigslist and I dont see any horse properties for rent. Is there a better place to look? Does anyone know of any?
Maybe run an add on Spokane's Craigslist for what your looking for. Also check out our newspaper Spoksman-review.
There are several places that board around here so you might have to come and stay in a hotel for a few days until you find what you want.
Where are you going to be working. I ask because if your job is in north Spokane, Chattaroy, Colbert and Deer Park are not that far away.
