I got a massage today, and while the MT was working on my neck she asks me "Have you always had this lump here?"
Um, no....
It's a hard lump that FEELS like it is either on my vertebrae or very close to it. It didn't hurt when she pressed on it, or kneaded on it, or anything. She could feel it best when my head was flat on the table and my neck totally relaxed, but tipped slightly to the left.
What in the world? I'll be honest - I'm pretty much freaking out. Also, what kind of doctor should I call to have it looked at?

I can't tell much because that kind of thing has to be seen and felt. Start with your regular/family doc. I wouldn't even try to guess, to be honest.
Just get it checked or you will worry yourself to death, understandably.
