I have a horse that is chewing on lead rope with tied up and chewing on pipe in stall. Any thoughts of what this might be going on?

Should I invest in a stall ball?

No To stall ball . My colt kills His in 5 Minutes flat . I take a small bleach bottle remove the label and lid. Fill it with small rocks , Shake it , Sit it on ground and walk away. My 2 Yr old Colt picks His up and shakes till all the rocks are out!!! He also puts it in His water bucket . TThen He tales it out and flings water everywhere !! lol

My mare chews on her lead rope when her jaw is out of alignment. A chiro adjustment and she's good to go.

Mine do that.  Especially when they are bored.  I come home and there is green grass all over the end of the rope.

If it is a young horse, check for retained caps.
That is very common to see chewing on things to get them out.

Most effective fix is to put him out in the pasture or give him some hay

Anyone have a remedy for one that chews on the leadrope? I have a mare that does it when she's standing tied. It's never fun to go to untie her and get a hand full of green slime, plus she's destructive to my leadropes. Lol. I've tried some Chew Stop stray but that doesn't faze her.

Hang a slow feed hay bag to keep her busy

I visited with my vet and he agreed he is bored. Suggested I turn him out for a while each day. He has a good size run with all the hay he can eat.
