| Has anyone ever tried this line of supplement? I am looking for something for bone density restoration. I've been told by a few there is no such thing, but I have also read that there has been some success. I've heard of equibone, cosequin (sp?) .. if anyone knows of anything that WORKS I am all ears! I'm dealing with borderline navicular diagnosis, caught very early. X rays shows some degree of bone density loss. Any advice on treatment plans or what has worked for you or someone you know? I have special shoes now next step is to find a supplement and see about injections/treatment options. Thanks in advance. |

| i use silver linings feet and bone supplement and it seems like it helps everything! i have an older gelding that is very competitive still, but getting up there in age. we use this supplement and it has worked wonders! it is a little pricy but i love it! we bought ours from a friend and it has helped her horse and mine! check into it! |

| Do Tildren--more expensive, but it is the most effective for most horses. My vet let me administer it myself IV for about $750, but many vets mark it up by at least a couple hundred bucks. Equibone is also very good, but not as good as Tildren. Used together, they should be very effective on most horses (if the bone loss is caught early). |

| Jena and Cheryl- I have read a ton on tildren and was planning on doing it. I mentioned it to my farrier, and he said it was a waste of money? Barnmom- This is good to know elgin recommended that, I had the horse there and I will be taking him back to do whatever they recommend. I'm just trying to see what has worked for other people, with a similar diagnosis. I did find an older thread on BHW that was helpful too, I know this topic must come up quite a bit. |

| animal element product x- helps bone density -you can call them and talk to them and they are always so willing to help and even if its not something they sell they have always steered me right with my many questions over the years- Michelle French is a mountain of knowledge -and has had many horses over the years so she has been through a lot- I would def give her a call |
