So I have an ad on craigslist for a service. I get an email is it still for sale blah blah it never was for sell. Anyway they go on how they are a petroleum engineer and out in the ocean with bad service but I'm getting that famous check and 50.00 extra. All I have to do is send my account info address email info you get the picture. I get so mad I'm sure they thought they had a crazy lady on the end of the email they recieved back from the Easter Bunny that lives down the bunny trail in hoppy hopp. Account Cottontail at Jackrabbit bank! Crooks I cannot stand them.

It amazes me what people will fall for when they lack discernment and critical thinking skills. Which is apparently a larger number of the population than you would think.

They are out there. My SIL's father sent 5k for a truck priced too good to be true. He was even warned it was a scam, email contact only, some story why they didn't have a phone. I saw a talk show where some lady sent almost 10k over a years time to Nigeria, she got one of those scam emails. She seemed educated too.

I inquired about a dog that was on one of my local dog lovers pages on Facebook. I wanted to go see her and they kept saying the shipping fee was $250 and that was that. I told her this was a LOCAL page... Annoyed the crap out of me and now I have had to block her because she wouldn't leave me alone.

Its not only the online scammers either! We had a mini van advertised a few months ago, I stated that when the van was sold we were goin to the DMV that very moment and transfering ownership etc....I had someone come to see it, and they actually asked to take the van and when they got back from Florida they would come sign the van over into their name. They wanted to pay for the van and drive off with the license plates and registration still in my name!!!! NO not gonna happen. I told them to come back when they returned from Flordia. It sold eventually but Not before it was removed form my name and insurance dropped. These fools were going to take my van and not remove it from my name. Lots of illegals here in Dallas !

I just had a reply from a scammer inquiring about my gelding I have for sale. They wanted to know if they could breed him..... After a few questions of course they asked for my full name and address to send payment. I gave them a fictitious name and address.......dumbarses....

It gets old. I am sick of it I wish something could be done to them.
My step-daughter almost got scammed by a house for rent she listened to me for once and sure enough it was a scam.
