Everyone should take extra time and think about what's important to them. Family, friends, freedom, beliefs and even their animals. In no specific order.
Maybe call someone you haven't spoken to in a while or give your kids an extra hug and kiss today.

My world was made more peaceful yesterday, finally.
My mother and I had a 'discussion' at Thanksgiving that was rather intense and had some negative moments. No really bad things were said or anything like that, just stuff that I know would not sit well if she were to pass on with these things not made right (even if it was from her that the 'right' needed to be made).
So, also at Thanksgiving my sister and her hubb offered to fly me and hubb out to OK in May for their eldests wedding. She wanted me to come and care and transport mom to the wedding too. All fine with me, mom hurts, but the care level isn't all that difficult. Well, mom put the brakes on that and said she wasn't going to the wedding. Multiple times my sister and I tried to talk to her about it and she was being childlike in her responses, and my mom is the ultimate in no-emotion/logic. These discussions only deepened my sense of unpeace (or whatever) between me and my mom.
Yesterday she finally TALKED about the wedding and why she didn't think she should/could go. The reasons were hers, made sense, and made it clear that she thinking about it and not just reacting.
I'm so relieved. We settled so many issues yesterday and regained so much ground.
Always important to let those who are most important know you still feel that way.
