He is no longer standing. Rebreed contracts only get two doses of frozen semen and that's all. So I doubt there will be anything to do. I'm very glad I have a yearling filly by him and I'm praying to God my mare took on this 2nd try with frozen.

I understand that he is no longer at BV, and that the rebreeds from last year are with frozen, but his owners aren't planning on standing him anywhere?

No, they didn't stand him for awhile before Kassy and Karma contracted him for two years to stand him.  He's old and they had issues collecting him the two yearss they did get to collect him. Pretty sure the old man has hit full retirement.

I just sold my confederate leader filly and it makes me sick. I knew that he wasn't going to stand, and that was the reason I was going to hold onto her.. but opportunity came up. I hope there are several more of his sons standing! I don't regret selling her as we got something super nice in exchange, but I am sad I don't have one anymore!

It's a shame, a friend of mine wanted to buy him (even knowing his semen is NOT the best) and offered very good money for him considering that and his age and the owners turned down the offer.

Drat. I saw him run at Oklahoma City when he won it, and always remembered the run, but I never knew where he went. I was thrilled when I found out Kassie was leasing him. I bred a mare to him last year so I at least get 1 baby. Was hoping to get another. Thanks for the info.
