That is 4-d at moderiate size shows with not a strong rider. That is a hard question. Is the horse dependable for a timid rider? Meaning no buck, run off or gets strong approaching the barrel or in the warm up pen? What are the goals for the rider? Confidence, being able to concentrate on where your handsand feet are? Ipaid 1700 for the mare I am riding now. She is a former break away roping horse and pasture calf roping horse, that I am now taking around the barrels. She is dependable, my confidence and fear of hurting my back again are going away. She let's me concentrate on my hand placement, feet and body position. I agree, dependable, non hitter, same run every time is worth more to some then speed. I own a 3d horse that fits the above description, now retired because of injury, had not hit a barrel in 2 years. He was never for sale but I turned down 15k for him. He would have been a fantastic kid horse.
