Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | Kudos to the team putting on the two weekend Bloomer Barrel Bash in Fairfield. To say I was impressed is an understatement. From the time I sent my entry in (I got an email that said they received my email and then an email confirming my draw numbers for both weekends) I have been on this band wagon. We chose section 2 for both weekends so by the time I got there for our runs this weekend that staff had ran the Friday night barrel race and the first section of 350 plus. I talked to at least 6 staff members for various things (coggins check at the gate, getting taken to where they wanted to park us, etc) and not ONE of them was rude, short, etc. Every one had a smile on their face, willing to help and thanking me for being there.
Facility is first class, ground was great, and the announcers were awesome. Running on average 50 plus an hour and it was a BIG pen-pretty dang close to a standard.
I think following the rules and laws they are required to abide by is not negative and they told all of us ahead of time so for me it was even more of a positive than a negative.
looking forward to next weekend. I was so impressed I am seriously considering sucking up the late fee and late entering my other mare just to be supportive of this great race some more.

Location: Texas | I agree...really enjoyed the race...all the outside staff was extremely friendly, especially Tony. Jason's opening prayer got all over me! Only thing I didn't care for was the people not going by the dog rule. Saw several not on leashes, especially at the back fence. One came over to my trailer and was sniffing around for a place to poop then he got under my trailer and his owner finally called him and he shot out from under my trailer as I was cleaning my horses hooves and there was almost a big accident. Can't wait til the next one |

| I have been to this arena several times for events and the people and facility have been amazing! I have never been anywhere for an event where I was treated so kindly or had such a great experience. I am so grateful that they are doing these awesome events and look forward to future ones! |

 Go For It!
Location: Texas | I agree! My friend and I were talking about how nice everyone was... they were so accommodating that it was hard to find something worth griping about. And to top it all off, me and my "sister" both won a Coats saddle! She won the 1d and I won the 2d!
But I thought they did great even before we won, lol. And it was no little barrel race... 600 entries... and for their first time they did an amazing job!

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | Congrats grin!!!! Man those saddles were NICE!!! And your "sister" smoked that run!!!
I agree-I saw some people trying to break rules (ignoring the people that were placing you to park, letting dogs out, etc). They will always be there but that isn't anything on the staff-that's just rude people.
And yes, you would have thought they have been doing this for years. I felt like every single detail to them mattered and that every person there mattered to them. That to me is HUGE. Even though you are busy and running around with your head cut off, you are still making sure every person there is taken care of and you make them feel like they matter. Again, I have never seen anything like it.
I will be back. Shoot, they are for sure now on my radar to attend, added money or not I was that impressed. |
