So an update on my new horse I call Bunny...She's the one I found on craigslist and got the day after my birthday...( I had been horse shopping for my mom and found her and said we absolutely had to try her...still looking for mom..oops)
I have made 4 runs on her prior to yesterday.. mostly 2D and we were a 16.7 and bottom of the 2D at diamonds and dirt.
Yesterday, I went to our GCBRA race. There were 111 total entries for the day. I ran in the mid 50s, and a 15.1 was winning it. I made my run and ran a 14.97! It was our fifth run together and we won the whole barrel race!! I was shocked! I don't want to get huge expectations or think it will happen every run, but it's going to be a cool memory forever. I love this horse, ugly first barrel and all.

I'm so excited about her!! Thanks you guys. I just had a really good feeling about her from the very beginning, one of those gut feelings that it was going to be good. I don't think I have had such an immediate bond with a horse since I had my gelding Casual Dust (hence my name). Coincidentally, he was also a bay with a star. In fact from a distance, they look remarkably similar.
