I like many of you just wanted to know what happened. On a thought though if he was there I highly doubt he was like look at me!!! It well be more than few days. The money will be deposited with the court and may or may not released until the two cases are resolved. That is up to the judge. This case has along way to go yet. |

If I were guessing...the new "owner" only fronted the money. There is a pending legal case here that is still NOT SETTLED. As far as one getting 90% and the other 10%, that has not been decided in court. The total actually owed is being debated, and Cheri could possibly, and will very likely, get more than "10%" ya'll are so fixated on.

What I find interesting is how the "image" attached to this particular case has swayed so many peoples morals. For the most part, there is talk on here almost daily about being a good person, following the rules, etc. But because of the tragic story attached to this combination, the morals that most people on this board profess to follow and hold other people to, have been thrown out the window. I wonder if the reaction would have been the same or different had it been, say, one barrel racer that we are forbidden to talk about on this board and her mare? |

I wondered the same thing.....and have assumptions as well and agree about the "assume" analogy. Not on here enough to follow who's OK to discuss and who's not. Don't want to break any rules so I usually just read and keep my opinions to myself!
That being said, I find Mary to be an inspiration after what she's been through however like someone else said-if you have a contract you have to follow through with what you've agreed to. |

I will be anxious to see how the rest of the case plays out.
Another thing that gets me a little is that several of the posters that sort of "fuss" at us nosey busy bodys, have made very questionable remarks about the Walkers...and the likes of them etc. . . as well as the name of the person that was listed as the purchaser.
Yes lots of confussion, but half the people here that have factual information are afraid to post it because they will get deleted or the thread frozen. I'm not going to believe that the Walkers are less than honest, or that the other party is less than honest. It COULD be, maybe not, but could be just a difference of opinion on the merrits of the original contract. That can happen.

The rest of the expenses are usually with the person buying the horse .... LLC tag means there is a payback on winnings and increase in assets to be divided and could include the unpaid portion of the price of the assets ... ...
Looks like to me Mary's hubby used to be an insurance agent // broker and had all bases covered with proclaiming Latte is now injured ...
Post on Walkers FB ... Thanks to the new owners I have a lifetime mount ....

Location: South Central Florida | So we don't know if the original "contract" was for 10% of retained ownership....or 10% of Winnings alone, or 10% of winnings after expenses or 10% or profit. Depending on how it is written, all of those are possible.

The only amount paid out is the roughly 85k. The other money was cycled through the bank to please the legality of the entire mess. If you think someone actually purchased him for that amount I highly doubt it, they had a friend run the money through and ultimately will only pay the 10%. Borrowed money for a few days so to speak, which will go back to the lender minus the 10%.

True but the figure will be more than 85K. Cheri is owed more than her ownership share. She is also owed the percentage of winnings she was never paid. The court will decide this amount and the funds for Latte will stay in escrow till this is all settled which could be a while. |

From public court records this is far from the first time this couple have screwed over business partners. I think that is why the general public have changed who's corner they are backing. I know it changed my perspective of things. I really could care less either way, but I hate to see bad things happen that is public notice. |
