 Can You Hear Me Now?
Location: When you hit the middle of nowhere .. Keep driving | Has anyone ever shaved a cat? I want too.... My poor Nimba HATES being brushed and it's always a fight. I do brush him but he gets stressed every time. I noticed he's starting to develop a couple mats under his belly (mancoon) and I figure just shave him instead of fighting and torturing him for a lot longer to brush and cut them out. It would be over so much quicker. Not to skin but maybe 1/2 an inch long and not touching his feet, tail or head. I already know I'm going to need welding gloves at the very least though. |

| we do every year! She loves it (after we are done), turns into a lover. But they are ugly for awhile! haha. We leave the face, tail , and hair half way down on her legs. She has long white hair, looks a lot like a white Himalayan but without the smashed face. Ask your vet what you can give him to "chill" him out. and I just use our horse clippers. Be careful not to burn the skin with the clippers. We did that on accident our first time, got to close to her skin. |

My friend takes her to the vet & they lightly sedate the cat when they do it. And they do look like little lions when they are done. |

Location: your guess is as good as mine | lookout hill - 2014-03-28 11:56 AM A friend of mine has himalayians (sp) and she has hers shaved every year. She said after she brings them home they just run around all crazy like they feel so much better. Her's are indoors only.
My small animal vet has a Himalayan as an "office cat" - they keep him shaved even though he stays indoors. |

Moisturize you don't want the poor cat to get dandruff. |

| Uhhh I'm a dog groomer, I dont groom cats because it is VERY easy to injure them. Their skin doesn't cut it tears like paper, please let a professional do it. It's usuaally $45 for just a lion shave...lot cheaper than a vet bill... |
