Viewer discretion advised. Nothing i wouldn't show my own children but some people are different :)

Location: Phoenix | I wouldn't. I think birth photographers are a relatively new concept. I just saw my friend however she used one..the photographer captured some great photos but I just don't know if I would be comfortable with them taking them during that time. |

yeah im afraid ill have that issue too.
Im uuber conservative and dont like being...exposed.
I dont want to miss those moments but i also don't want some over pushy woman in there trying to take pictures and all up in my business. I dont think Id mind a lurker, for lack of a better word. |

I have a friend who is a portrait photographer and she will do it. She meets with them ahead of time so they know each other and feel comfortable. She stays in the background during birthing and goes unnoticed. She only shows the family a select few retouched photos that are touching and beautiful. I have seen some photos from other photographers who show every photo and in my opinion many borderline gross. They need to cull their photos before viewing |

You took the words out of my mouth.
Ive seen some that looked like they belonged in medical dictionary. Thats what I liked so much about Lynsey's work. There are some that if left untouched would show everything but 90% of her pictures are just faces of family, mothers, fathers, and newborns. Even in the breastfeeding pics you can tell its a boobie right in your face lol
Maybe someone whos used her would chime!?

LOL your braver than me. If anyone brings a camcorder in there objects might start flying at their head.
My sister and mom really want to be in the room when this shin dig happens but I jus cant do that. This is a special moment for my husband and I and I want to be incredibly selfish and only share it amongst us two.
Everyone (mom and sister) else can look at the pictures haha! |
