Location: Smack in the middle of WA! | The last 24 hours have truly been the worst time of my life. We lost everything Saturday afternoon in a house fire. My family is ok and my friends have been nothing short of amazing! We are insured and our stuff will be replaced but I lost all 4 of my dogs. I am heartbroken. My husband is a wreck and my son lost his little jack russell. I have known so many that have experienced house loss thru fire and flood and have never been able to realize the scope of the situation. Unbelievable

We had a house fire last year about this same time. Not a total loss though. But for us, right away we were doing ok, but it was 5 months later as we were still living in our fifth wheel that it was really difficult. If you need anything, and even in months, ask :). Hugs! (I hope this isn't depressing, I don't mean it to be at all, and our situation may most definitely be different from yours! - I just wanted to let you know that now or later, we're here for you!)

Stuff can be replaced, but your dogs are your family. Many prayers for you. And prayers in dealing with your insurance company. That is not a pleasant experience for most people. |

We eventually will need just about everything as what didn't burn was so heavily smoke damaged it is all gone. I've never paid close attention to all the little things that are used on a daily basis! However the most important are the furbabies we lost. I miss my little red heeler like crazy:( I have a friend that has set up a "puppy fund" for me. She knew how much they meant to us. We are hoping to get a heeler puppy in June. The little jack was my son's. He has said he definitely will want a puppy when he sees the right one. He us finally going back to school today so hopefully being around his friends will help him! |
