| My neice and her husband cannot have children so they are adopting. They decided that they did not have to have a newborn. It took 2 months to complete the program to become certified as adoptive parents. In 45 minutes they are getting a little 2 year old girl that was being raised by her grandmother. Parental rights had already been terminated and the grandmother feels she is not capable of raising her. The little girl has never tested positive for drugs. Such a happy ending for the new parents and the baby girl who has has a rough start in her little life. I can't wait to meet her. |

| They are adopting through the Bair Foundation which has a ministry to help place children like these. They offer financial assitance with all associated fees and also help with college expenses for the children they place. A wonderful program. |

| Here she is, my hear is melting already. Poor baby looks scared, she has no idea what is going on. She will know nothing but love and kindness from now on.

I don't know what the arrangements are but I do know if the grandmother wants to keep in contact my neice is the kind of person who will welcome the grandmother into their lives. |

| Congrats to your niece and the entire family on the new addition! Children are such miracles and blessings to us; and families for children that really need one are definitely a blessing, too! |

Sterling is going to be 5 this coming June.

Found out the woman who has been caring for this little girl is not her biological grandmother. The little girl has a 1/2 sister who is 4, same mom, different dad. When custody was taken away from her bio parents (drugs) the dad of the 4 year old took both girls. He moved with his 4 year old daughter and left the 2 year old with his mother. She gave her up since not related. No one from the 2 year olds biological family wanted her. She is a happy and healthy little girl so seems to have been taken care of. |
