I leave at noon to once again begin my lameness hunt. I'm really feeling rear left suspensory because its only when she turns a right barrel no matter the approach and its the take off, not the butt in the ground and the hock injections in October didn't do squat.
going to Oakridge in Edmund.
wish us luck!
any input/ questions to ask is VERY welcome!!
ETA:
2/5 lameness L stifle
X-rayed it
Bone spur where crutiate ligaments are
Injected it with HA & Trimycilone (sp?)
Time the injection lasts will tell how much/ if there is other damage in there that doesn't show on x-ray.
Also
1/5 lameness on L front but could be because she's barefoot. Vet not worried about it.
Oh and also had acupuncture done. Her ovaries were very painful.
YAY!!! ANSWERS!!

I Have been telling you for MONTHS to have her ovaries checked...
had acupuncture done on her. JUST NOW got the care credit card to be able to AFFORD to have something like this done. YES I have known she needed a big trip like this to take care of everything. Thanks for your help.

It is always such a relief to find the problem so you can fix it and get on with having fun again! I have been through that process most of the year with my good rodeo horse and Chance has barely competed this year because of this, but we finally found the root of the problem (or at least we think so) and he should be back in the lineup next weekend - WHEW!!! Glad you got some answers as well!!

Be sure and do the lameness locator when you are there. It is what finally found what was going on with mine. Just wish I had done it 18 months and thousands of dollars earlier!
