| In James 5:7-12, Be patient, then , brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near. Don't grumble against each other, brother, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door! Brother's as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. As you know, we consider blessed those, who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy. Above all, my brothers, do not swear not by heaven or by earth or by anything else let you "Yes" be yes, and your "No" no or you will be condemned.
In James he is instructing believers how to face life's trails. What do you do when you are mistreated, hurt, abused, or attacked? Our natural tendencies are to retaliate, to return evil for evil, to get back at the person or person who are causing the pain. James says that is not he way to respond, Rather, we are to be patient, strengthen our hearts and not complain. Well, how do we do that? By keeping our eyes focused on God and knowing He has; a plan, a purpose, and a reason.
Our hope is not in circumstances but in Him. And God will judge! Romans 12:17-19 says, Repay non evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, :Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord"
We face our life trails best when we do it His way.

Location: Somewhere between S@%&# stirrer and Saint | I have to admit I have not faced my lifes trials very well! Depending upon the Lord to help us in our trials is very important through faith, prayer and obedience. I have failed but I know I need to get back on the right track.
Our Heavenly Father gives us many chances to correct our screw ups and turn to Him. Very loving and forgiving Father. The Grace of God makes this possible through our Savior, Jesus Christ. | |
