| For those of you that have Appendix horses that are built like a TB, being high withered, narrow, and lean... What saddles do you find work best for you? Or do you pad up a certain way?

TG, Rocket, and Ultra Rocket I think? |

| Well I'd love to have a Caldwell but they are a bit out of budget... |

| I ended up going with a Crown C. My boy has high withers and the. Flattens out in the back without being especially broad. A 7" gullet crown c fits him well. |

Couldn't tell ya! For me they're just a dream right now!

Location: PNW | I just ordered an Ultra Rocket for mine from Caldwell. It is contoured for his spine/withers but has their wide fit because he is surprisingly wide and muscular as well.
The TG is for the toothpick racehorses
The Rocket is for the average muscled race-built horse.
Good luck!!! |

...but someday... I am right there with ya!! They are a dream!! And i'm sure that TG would probably fit her perfectly....
I had a Billy just like that but i wore it out! lol! I got the 1530 now and it doesn't fit her worth a darn... Also have a couple Teskey's but they just aren't quite right.
I will look into the Crown C and Martha Joseys!

If you call and talk to Charon and email her pics of your horse - she will tell you what tree you need and then you can keep your eyes out for a used one. They have some used ones for sale in their shop also. |

Before I got the treeless I used a prorider full bars that seemed to fit pretty well (never had any soreness issues) |

| if you're looking for something cheaper I would recommend a Dakota or a Triple Creek. I have ridden my friend's appendix in both and both these saddles fit him really well. |

| Have any of you used any special padding or shims for this? I do have an old Bio Fit Pad that was for a horse that we have already sold.
OR does anyone treeless saddle to fit these horses? do you still need special pad or shims? |

Which model? I have a 1530 but it is too wide in the wither area... but if i build it up with shims it might fit better.... |
