Great entry! I do the same, I only keep food in the house that is healthy and I also meal prep every Sunday for the week. I live by the motto "if you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail". I find that holds true in just about anything. I have been doing really well on my fitness journey, I had a few mental set backs earlier in the year but I am back to it 100%.

Good blog!

I have been doing well with eating healthy over the last few weeks.  Almost wheat free and everything fresh.  Lots of veggies, meats, eggs and fruits.  Still would like to cut out more sugar....

Been doing the 3 months Jillian Michaels work-out dvd program.  Can't do the cardio part as my hip still hurts from getting bucket off.  I truly hate working out, but I can see improvments.  Especially with core strength while riding, even though I always thought that my core strength was pretty good to begin with.

I've been doing a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio at least every other day and on the opposite days I'm lifting weights, planks, etc. I do this 4-5 days per week. I worked my way up to almost being able to run a 10 minute mile and I did two miles the other day in about 25 minutes. LOL That last mile kicked my butt. I've also tried setting the incline and busting it there for a couple minutes, sprints...you name it I'm trying it!LOL

I'm doing OK with my eating. This darn easter candy (starburst jelly beans) is starting to **** me off. I have a serious addiction to sugar and its kickin my butt. I tried to eat a lot of fresh fruit, veggies, lean protein, and not so much bread. But these last few days have been brutal. I think I'm PMSing. I feel like a bottomless pit!

I feel stronger, I'm riding better, and I'm feeling good, but there hasn't been any weight loss:(  Am I not working out long enough?? UGH. A little disheartened by that part of it.

I'm on Weight Watchers and have lost 26.8lbs.  So I'd say it's going well. ;

I haven't lost any weight either, but my jeans are fitting better.  I think its the fat to muscle conversion....

I know I'm definately making headways with muscle mass. I can now easily get on my 16.3 hand horse without even groaning and letting out a few swear words!LOL

I will keep at this and hopefully someday soon the scale will tip in my favor!

Thanks you for the post OP...would love some fruit infused water recipes:) Plain old water is getting tiresome and I'm finding it difficult to suck down half my body weight:

For the last 2 weeks I have really been trying to watch the carbs that I eat and I can already feel a change.  I have also cut down on my chocolate intake, I LOVE chocolate!!!  I have also been jogging a couple of miles at least 3-4 times a week plus all my other chores.  I have lost 3 pounds so far and I am feeling a lot better.

I really do not have much to lose but I was starting to get that yucky pouch belly from all the crap I was eating.  Since I have cut back I have seen a change.

My SO and I have a goal to run in a 5K come late spring or summer.

I just weighed myself this morning. I started in January with a trainer at 157.6 pounds. I am 6 feet tall. This morning I am 148.2. I was so ecstatic. I wasn't really looking for weight loss... I just want to be healthy and fit. My trainer is a bodybuilder and she has turned me on to lifting heavy stuff! I love it, and can't get enough. My favorite is squats, and I'm starting to love the leg press. I am at 10 pound dumbbells for arm/chest day and can't wait to move up to 15 pounds. I'm amazing what your body will do when you are determined.

Keep up the great work everyone

WYO- the possibilities are endless with what fruit you can put for infused water. I like raspberries, strawberries, watermelon....even had honeydew once it was good! One thing about doing the infused is the fruit does get soft and kinda gross looking but it still is good...I usually put new fruit in each day cause well I drink a lot of water! FroZen fruit you can use too

Keep up the GOOD WORK ya'll!!! and Great blog post dream_chaser!

So far, I have gained 5lbs ... but gone down a jean size. I'll take it! I've been running 3 miles every other day but amp'd it up to daily with 30 mins of weight training at the gym. I'm amazed how in just a short month of doing this I can keep up with my horses better, stay more centered in my saddle, and just how my overall health and sleeping have improved! WooHOO!! :)

Doing the bike only, but interval training on it. Had knee surgery not that long ago and tying to avoid a 4th surgery. Squats are still my nemesis so haven't been trying to do too many of them. Oh and there is a broken collarbone in there so no lifting weights for me! lol. I can manage to hold a minute plank before I feel like I'm going to die. Basically I'm just trying to avoid another knee surgery and hopefully lose some weight for my best friend's wedding that I am in, in July.

I've been trying to watch how much I snack... that's the only food change I've made. I used to be a bad one so now if I am feeling hungry I will have apples and pb or greek yogurt, bananas, pecans and some chocolate chips in it.
