I am doing some market research for my company and want to ask folks if they have ever tried or heard of the liqueur Tuaca. It is a vanilla/citrus blend, with nutmeg notes. We are looking to revamp the brand to get it more exposure.

Can you tell me if you have tried the brand, and how old you are? Also - bonus question - when you think of the brand, can you tell me if a certain celebrity pops into your mind that would represent the brand well?

I have had it a bunch. Some of my friends love to take shots of it. I'm 25 yrs old (and a bartender too!). I think I'm the best celebrity out there, so me! haha

You are our target audience :)

Shots are good. We are looking to revamp the brand into shots or straight.

I'm 30, female, and was a bartender through college and grad school (5 years experience serving).

We served it mostly as shots and I developed a mixed drink with it that was a special occasionally.

Celebrity and Tuaca - hmmmmm ... sophisticated and foreign (not white/american standard) - not sure after that.

Hope I helped.

A lot of bars will have it on tap, like jagerrmeister. Its soooo good. Not too potent. The new bottles have where the bottle turns blue (like the Coors mountains) when its chilled. We keep ours stored in our freezer for convenience!

You guys are awesome. Giving me ideas on things I never thought of.

I love that all of you that have tried it really like it. It's probably one of my favorite brands.. just wish it could be marketed more. It's so much better than Jager!!

Agreed! I am not a big shot person at all (and the thought of Jagger makes me want to puke on myself) and I can happily do shots of Tuaca!

Used to drink it quite a bit before I had kids and slowed down... I just turned 27. I was a bartender for a few years and we all really liked it.
We drank it on the rocks, mixed with coke, or with red bull (tuaca bomb).

While picking up a catering order one morning for a tailgate the guy at the restaurant accidentally spilled my friends coffee w/baileys in it. He got her a new one and said he put a little tuaca in it...

Hadn't ever heard of it before, but my that was the best adult coffee we'd ever had!

I'm 26, mostly a beer drinker anymore.

I've heard of it and I'll be honest, the only time I've actually seen it in a bar locally, it was at a Mexican restaurant bar. The bartender said they NEVER used it. I had no idea what it tastes like nor have I ever seen anyone drink it. It's a liquer, like Grand Marnier (of course, I get the flavor is different)? What's it known for being mixed with aside from being in a shot? I honestly don't know if I can think of any one liquer that's really well known since everyone knows the more hard alcohols more. Maybe Pama?
Around here, Jager is fading in popularity. Fireball is the main go to shot, aside from Patron of course, but Coldcock is trying to break into that market. It's not easy going!

I've been a bartender at the local bar and grill for 5 years now and we just started carrying Tuaca. I serve a lot of Tuaca Bombs to the bar crowd but never really as a straight shot or mixed with anything else. I'm 29 and my friends and I love to have Tuaca Bombs when we're out!

Mostly, people take it in chilled shots. The Tuaca Bomb is pretty popular as well (Tuaca and Redbull). Tuaca and Root Beer seems popular, as well as Tuaca Hot Apple Cider (Tuaca, Apple Cider, Cinnamon stick).

There's a huge part of my heart that loves hard apple cider drinks but I can't drink those anymore. I'd love to try that drink!
I'm doing a bartending gig tomorrow, so if it's back there, I'm defintely giving this redbull thing a test!

It's funny you say that because my company owns SoCo also! Tuaca is a liqueur like SoCo but not really comparable... Tuaca is more "mature" and "crafted".

You need to get some Tom Selleck up in your marketing

Also, if you need quality control testers - I'll step up to the plate and take one for the team

I had it one time. New Year's Eve 2000 or 2001 in Vail, Colo. I was 22 or 23 then, 35 now. The guy I was with was originally from Colorado and we went to his folks' place for NYE and ended up going to Vail to some little bar. I was totally out of place (carhartt chore coat and starched jeans) and they talked me into several Tuaca shots. Everything got a little fuzzy after that. I blame it on the beers before the bar and the altitude.. From what I remember it was smooth and tasted good. I'm not one for shots though!
