What brand of button down shirts do you wear? I haven't competed much the last few years, and sold most of my western shirts. So now I am on the hunt for some more. None of the women's style's seem too fit right. I either have to get them 2 sizes too large so that they are long enough, or if they are form fitting then they end up being short.... I use to get cheap mens dress shirts that way at least they were somewhat fitting and long enough, but I would like to have a few patterns. Help!

I'm 6' tall so I know where you're coming from.
Wrangler (20x I think) has some ladies western shirts that have the longer sleeves and longer bodies so they stay tucked in better, I belive they call it Performance Fit. I *think* Cruel Girl has some called Arena Fit.
Whenever I've seen the Wrangler shirts they have a sticker on the left side of the chest that says Performance Length Sleeves. Only women's shirts I can wear.

Forgot to mention there are some men's Wrangler shirts that have the taylored style. I have 3 of these shirts and they fit exactly like a fitted women's shirt but with longer sleeves and longer bodies.

Yup yup ... I feel your pain.
Look for performance fit and arena fit ... they'll come with longer arms and longer "tails"

agree with the above^ I've gotten some from those companies and i liked them. I am guilty of buying mens shirts some times though ESP if I plan on wearing a white one cause you ALMOST cant tell the difference. but I had the best luck for finding pretty designed ones through wrangler 20x

I'm not long waisted...but I do have the monkey arms. So the free-swinging gussets on the duluth shirts are really nice to have. No pull across the shoulders or too short sleeves.

Wrangler performance fit are the bomb I bought 5 of them out in vegas at the VS outlet they are rayon so don't throw them in the dryer and you have to wash by hand and I only paid $5.99 a piece. At the Western store here they are 40-50 bucks.

the performance fit helped me in the arms - but not only am I 6'2" I also am busty! talk about problems finding shirts. I usually have to buy them so they're baggy just to be able to button them up!

Glad I saw this post! I have a crazy long torso and arms so all mine come untucked the second I get on my horse and my sleeves never reach my wrists when I'm riding. I'll have to try those performance and arena fit shirts!

Same here!! I have the Monkey arms.... I have had the arena fit type shirts and they still seemed to be too short. I have just adapted to having shorter sleeves and even pull them up when I ride. I dont want them to get it the way anyways!! But I still have issues with shirts coming untucked and it drives me insane!! Even with a larger size!

I'm glad we can all band together!! LOL - I seriously used to buy men's shirts and have my mom help me tailor and put darts in them so they'd be long enough in the arms and torso when I rode!
Maybe some of the bigger name companies (instead of just one or two) can help us out?? (wishful, I know!)
