I disagree, I own a Titan Avalanche and I think it's one of the best steel trailers on the market. Love it. There's a reason you rarely see them for sale used.

ETA I just looked up the CM Nomad - they aren't real popular out east where I was living the last time I was trailer shopping. If you're looking for aluminum they look quite nice. I'd probably go that direction over the Sundowner.

My checkbook was looking for steel when I was shopping, and Titans are hands down I believe and have had several people confirm, the best steel trailers on the market. You wouldn't know mine is nearly 10 years old now. I've also seen ones twice it's age that look far better than any other comparably aged steel trailer.

I have a Titan Primo bumper pull & it's a really great trailer.  I had a 3 horse gooseneck with 6ft sw dressing room I pulled for years & had a weekender LQ put in it that I loved, loved, loved.  Great built trailers.  Cimmaron makes an extremely well built trailer.  Been contemplating trading my Titan Primo bumper pull in for a Cimmaron bumper pull just because I would like a little wider trailer with drop down windows.  I use my bumper pull alot for going local shows & the vet so it gets a lot of use.  :)   Wouldn't buy a new Sundowner for anything.  They are not at all made as well as they used to be.

Titan. If you're looking at steal trailers - that is the way to go.

I have a 2011 Titan Avalanche bumper pull as my run around trailer and LOVE it to pieces. They are good quality and the options you can add on are fabulous. They have widened the tack room door so the swing out saddle racks will fit large/wide saddles easily without hanging up on the door frames. The seals around the doors and windows are really strong, the mats on the floors are really thick and strong, and the customer service is great! The dividers easily pop out and back in with two people. My large cow bred mare easily fits in the stalls with room to spare. I can't say enough positive things about these trailers and I believe they are worth every penny!

I'm not sure the OP is talking exclusively steel since 2 of the 3 she listed are aluminum...

IMO, you can get an aluminum trailer for about the same or a little more than a steel, and the maintenance is almost nil and the resale is MUCH better. On the facebook trailer sites, you see these older steel trailers w/gorgeous lq's and I wonder why someone would spend that much money to put it in a steel trailer. I rarely keep a trailer more than a couple of years and have never lost any money on my aluminums when I resold, but I sure have lost a lot on steel. IMO, your best bet is to get an all aluminum, which with the 3 you listed, the only one you could do that with would be the Sundowner, and I would make sure it had an aluminum floor. I really want one with rumber flooring or WERM flooring, but I don't have one currently. I'm not really a fan of any of the 3 brands you listed. I like Elite, Platinum, 4 Star and Twister. I'm getting a new Twister around the middle of June and I am SO excited. They are awesome trailers.

I've had the titan 2h bp and the 3h gooseneck. Both were awesome trailers. I actually sold the 2007 gn for more than i paid for it brand new!

I've been pulling a 1996 Sundowner LQ for about 500,000 miles and have had absolutely no problems with it at all. I don't know about the new ones but mine is exceptionally well built.

I've owned  3 Sundowners. A 4 H with small dressing room, a 2 H bumper pull with large dressing room and now a 3 H with extra large dressing room and mid tack. All 3 are good trailers and I've had no issues with any of them.

My 2000 Sundowner was a tank, but my Cimarron is nicer.
