Location: Minnesota | Two days ago my aunt went in for her 5 month appointment, they did another scan to see if the tumors had grown or multiplied or anything different from 5 months ago. Not only has the 2 existing tumors tripled in size but there is now 2 more of the same size. All 4 tumors are close to her liver.
My aunt had done chemo and her doctor advised her that since it clearly didn't help that its no longer an option unless my aunt strongly felt like she wanted to, which she doesnt.
Her doctor has given her 6 months at the rate the tumors are going. He said depending on how fast they continue to grow will determine when she really starts to get sick(throwing up, weight lose, ext.). I'm going to be switching my hours around at work so I can be with her in the evening to help take care of her when that time comes. Right now she's in a lot of pain but she's still able to get out and do things. She's asked me to go to the funeral home with her on Monday to prepare everything. I'm heartbroken but I know she's tired and in so much pain. For now I'm spending my days off with her and making as many memories as I can.
Thank you to all of you who continue to pray for my aunt.

Location: Minnesota | Thank you all so very much for the prayers for my aunt. She tells me that she isn't scared to died because she knows she will be with God and she will be happy and pain free. Its us here on earth that will have to learn to move forward. She's more worried about me than herself, which is so true to her character. I told her when she gets to those gates and sees my mom standing there that she better give her a big hug for me. |

We just went through this with my husband, we talked and he told us what he wanted. His tumors had grown from 8 to 12 cm, but we couldn't stop the bleeding. He passed with us at his side two weeks ago; 3 months from when we found out. Thank goodness he had retired 3.5 years ago, he was only 60. He had a lot of friends with him his last week, lots of love laughter and stories. |
