Can you all say a few prayers for the high school students, family and friends affected by this horrible tragic accident? There are now 10 confirmed deaths (5 adults and 5 children) with several more hospitalized with critical injuries and burns.
This was an absolutely horrible accident between a Fed Ex truck and a charter bus carrying high school students to a northern California college.

This accident is So Extremely tragic... the thing that makes it even worse for me is knowing that the massive fire could have been prevented. Needless death and injury (the Emission system's burn around 1200 degrees so when the fuel tanks on the semi ruptured it turned the Semi into a Bomb)

Happened about 40 miles from where I live, the pictures of the fire are heartbreaking as well as the kids being led across the highway, some with only one shoe on, burns everywhere. When I heard about it last night to tell you the truth I figured it was the bus trying to get on the highway there and the semi couldn't get over because there are only 2 lanes and the on ramps there are short with a big curve before them, its scary getting on there with the horse trailer because there is no room. Fed Ex truck apparently went across the median though...basically head on.

Common Sense and then some

They initally reported that the Fed Ex truck was trying to avoid a car that veered in it's path, at least that is what we heard down here. Since both drivers perished, it'll be some time before the cause is found. I'm just so surprised that the fire errupted like it did. Thankfully, most of the students were able to break out windows to escape. Such a tragedy... I can't imagine what those parents are going through, expecially with having to obtain copies of dental records.
