I bought some for my gelding not to long ago and of course he was in between sizes... the ones I have now twist on his feet.. Are they supposed to be able to do that or should they be more snug?? The are good length wise but they are too wide I think, they are size 6L.
This is my issue also. Bought 4 of size 6L for my horse that was thin soled and crippled. Now I need to use them on another horse and they twist. Since I'm not spending $400 for each horse to have their own, including every horse I buy - this concerns me!
I know that you can return if you still have the reciept that it came with if they don't fit and they are still in new condition. But my problem is I don't think there is another size that will fit him in the width, because this size fits him perfectly in the length. I heard you can do make a sort of "vet wrap sock" that will help it be more snug! I'm going to call tomorrow and see what I can do about it.
I agree it stinks that not every horse is the same size boot
I have one mare with a club foot so im really SOL. :( Haha

They are not supposed to twist or slip around.
I have had good luck pushing wool in and around the foot to help it fit more snugly on a narrow footed horse. The natural fiber will BREATHE and will not cause issues. When you need to wash out the boot, just pull the wool out and wash it too! (dry it completely before re-inserting)
