Thank you! I added a few more pictures, will take some better ones on level ground later today. I noticed that she's pretty upright in the shoulder too, but it doesn't seem to hinder her movement.
Also keep in mind that she is very undermuscled as she hasn't been in work for many years. |

Thank you :) Is it the way her hocks are angled? |

I prefer a horse with a round, compact hiney. IMO I think it helps them to better be able to get their butt up underneath them when working cows or barrel racing. They've always seemed to be a bit more catty as well. Just personal preference, not trying to say there's anything wrong with your girl. |

Gotcha I prefer that too! I'm hoping that with getting her into an exercise program.. She will get a bit bigger of a bum. *crossing my fingers*. She also is naturally very light on the forehand so that should help a bit.
Also another factor is that she is huge! Around 16.2 or 16.3.. I guess doesn't hurt to try :) |

Thank you. Yeah she was standing a bit funny.. Will try to get better pictures with her standing normal.
Definitely wasn't thinking she'd be NFR material.. Neither am I haha! Would be for local barrel races/jackpots, possibly rodeos in the future if we were good enough :) |

LOL...well, then she should be fine. As long as your dreams are realistic, then why not her. |

Hungarian Midget Woman
Location: Midwest | I think you need to turn her into an english horse. She's got a nice build for Dressage work. Barrels, I'm sure she can do it. She doesn't have any big faults that jumped out at me. She is pretty uphill built and flatter crouped like a lot of dressage horses you see out there. Is she a TB or QH? |

| Too heavy in the front end for me. Shoulder is a little too steep. Forearm is too short, hocks are too high. Back is too long in proportion to underline.
Not one I would buy |

Location: NE Texas | I say dream big, have expectations and goals, and go for it. I've seen alot of horses with less than stellar conformation be remarkable barrel horses, calf horses, cutters, and anything else. Is she going to win a halter class, probably not, but I say if she's sound and good minded, go for it and shoot for the stars! My theory is you gotta try em all, as you never know which ones will make it. |

Very true! I am definitely an optimistic person. There are many quarter horses who fail at barrel racing, even ones bred for it. Its up to the individual and I guess only time will tell. :) *crossing fingers* |

Hahah man I'm jealous! I'm definitely moving down south asap! |

| The last horse I ran was a morgan/qh and he had a flatter bottom kinda like her. Lovely moving horse. He couldn't turn well but he could weave like a champ :) Almost always did well in poles even with sucky end turns lol He did improve but wasn't a natural tight turning horse. Don't get discouraged if she doesn't fit the mold. She could surprise. |

Location: Arkansas | First, I must say.... I love your little pony! So precious! I agree with the straight shoulder and flat croup. Doesn't look like she will be a "typical" barrel horse, but why not!? You never know! I've seen some rough lookin horses go in and smoke some runs, so don't get down! Good luck with her!! |

I attended an auction.. She was there.. My brain tends to not function properly at auctions. Haha!
Thank you all.. She does have some stiffness in her hind end I've been noticing while riding. I'm hoping its something that can loosen up with stretches and massages! |
