So my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Puerto Rico! (we're leaving Friday..) And I'm in charge of planning activities... I've tried googling it but all I can find is hotels and beaches. Has anyone ever been there and could suggest things to do? We're staying in San Juan but we're going to rent a car so we can drive to other places.

We stayed at a resort when we went. I think it was blown away in a hurricane after that, but it was wonderful! We went on a planned trip as a reward for meeting a sales goal. We went to the rainforest, and into old San Juan. The resort had a private island, and we spent a lot of time there snorkeling and lying on the beach. We had a great time, but a lot of our activities were planned by the company. I think the name of the resort was the El Conquistador. Lots of low income areas in Puerto Rico, but resorts were nice. Seems like there was an old fort area that was interesting too. It's been several years since we were there...

I wonder if you went to Palomino Island... it's right off of the coast and has a lot of activities like that. That's one of the places I have written down to go to!
