| When we think of missions, it is almost impossible to avoid the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, " All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age."
We also know that God empowers us for the task of missions. Acts 1-8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
God has been a missionary God from the beginning. He called Abram with the promise that he and his people would be a blessing to the rest of the world. by declaring the greatness of their God to the nations. In Exodus, too. God delivered His people in order for them to be a missionary nation. Peter told believers that we have been called out of darkness and into marvelous light in order to " proclaim the praises of God. 1 Peter 2-9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvations of your souls.
To be on a mission, we must tell the world who God is and what He as done in forgiving us of our sins, through the life, death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. When we make disciples, we simply tell of the works of the Lord and call people to respond in faith. Let us continue to PRAISE God for His salvation , but let our praise go forth beyond our church walls and into the corners of the earth!
Be a person after God's own heart. start with attitude of the heart, with the personal relationship with God, and it will reflect in your actions how God's Spirit empowers you daily.
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

Location: Somewhere between S@% stirrer and Saint | I may not be the same religion as many of you but when I was 19 I went on a volunteer self supported mission for my faith. I went and worked in Alaska in the fish industry to save money to support my 2 year mission.
I was asked to go serve in the Holbrook Arizona Mission Navajo speaking. I spent 2 months in a language mission taking a crash course in the navajo language. I had multiple missionary companions from around the country during this time and served in about 10 different areas. (Navajo Reservation in Arizona and New Mexico).
It was a very wonderful experience serving the Lord and teaching of Christ and doing service projects. It was a great learning experience for me spiritually. It was very structured, scripture study, prayer, serving people, being humble, no swearing, no alcohol, no girls, no personal time. It was all about serving the Lords children. At times it was tough, people wanted to try and beat you up, throw stuff at ya, call you bad names and worse.
The Lord Empowers you to do his work. God doesn't give you a commandment or calling that you can't handle because through His power it can be done.
Thank you as always LJ!
