We have had a lot of dog drama in my house the last week! Now we have a stray, old dog here. Super good and tells us he has to go out MOST of the time. Other times he will just stop what he is doing and pee...just a little. I'm wondering if it's the old age or if something could be making him lose control. It's like he can't help it and goes just a little not full out pee. We just got him and are sort if trying to find him a new home but we are leaning towards keeping him. Judging by his teeth we are thinking he is around 9-10. I think his hips may be sore as well. He needs help onto the couch and is very careful getting off. Any suggestions?

Could be a U.T.I. or bladder issue. I would have a vet test him to rule that out. (or in.)

I posted before my edit button came back :)
im going to call the vet tomorrow. We are starting to lean towards keeping him. Most people aren't really looking for a dog that old with a lot of maintence(we weren't either but things happen)

Bless you for keeping him! It is hard to home an old dog... I try and try at my local shelter, sometimes I succeed and sometimes not :( breaks my heart b/c old dogs have so much love! I adopted an 8yr old terrier and he's awesome! from now on, I'm getting old senior dogs. Less work and their hard to home.

He is neutered. Someone was coming for him this morning but I cancelled. I had a bad feeling about them. I would rather keep him and know he has what he needs.
