I have been working out since January, and have really gotten involved with health, fitness, and I'd like to maybe look into becoming a fitness model. I've lost 10 pounds, and inches off my waist. I'm 6 foot and 148 pounds, and look and feel great. However, as most women know, the first thing you lose when losing weight are your boobs. I'm heavily considering getting an augmentation, since I'm down now to an A size, and it just doesn't fit my body.
If you've had this procedure done, how did you find your surgeon? I don't know of anyone that's had this done except my mom, and she hated her doctor, which really scares me. Also - how much did you pay for your new set? I need to start finding dimes under couch cushions I guess. |

I lost 30lbs I guess it's almost two years ago and my breasts seem bigger now than they were? I wonder if what you eat while you lose weight has anything to do with losing your boobs or not?

There's a website called yes they're fake.com or something like that. I learned a ton there. Mine are half under half over the muscle, makes for a much more natural appearance (you don't get the softball crammed under the skin look or the gravity took hold look in 5 years). My doctor was recommended to me by by gyno. I LOVE him, I don't know if you ever watched the Bachlor but his daughter was on it - she's the one that always wore the tiara. She's a nut, but he was wonderful. Dr. Rose. Mine were $8,000.00, oh and you can get them financed!!!! |

My sister had small boobs too and said she loved them also. She recently gained some weight and now she has C cups, and now she says she loves them!
I'm not sure about the foods.... I eat a lot of protein, veggies, and fruits. I am also down to a 32, and I was a 34. I love that I'm feeling healthy, but it's expensive keeping up with buying new clothes. |

Mine are really not proportionate to my body anymore. I look like I'm 12 now.... not a good look to have as an adult. I swear I'm not vain, lol! |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Well...as the President of the IBTC (Itty Bitty Titty Committee)...I'd like to toss a vote in for staying natural. Sure...mine are barely a B on a good day...but I think staying natural is a good thing. I was tempted over the years to get augmentation. But the bottom line is that with ALL surgical procedures there are risks. I'm sure you know that...and I respect whatever decision you make for sure...but just consider long and hard.
They do not last a lifetime...so you are committing to at least two surgeries right up front. One of which could be as soon as 5 years from the date you get the implants. That second surgery could come years later...but your health at that time may not be as great as it is now...thus raising the level of risk. There are a host of complications that can come from the implants...Rupture, scar tissue contraction causing them to be hard and oddly shaped, loss of sensation in the nipples, infection, hematoma etc. The new "fun bags" may not be so much fun.
And...I am finally realizing that although the look great under a sweater...most guys will honestly tell you they prefer the feel and look of a natural breast when it comes right down to seeing and touching.
Now...I have ALWAYS wanted mine to be bigger...to fill out a bikini better...but at 41 I just try to exercise and stay toned. (5' 8", long legged and 122#) I am happy to say that "the Girls" still sit up all perky and that I have quality...not quantity.
If you are getting them to further a modeling career...unless you model nude...perhaps you could just use a push up or gel bra to get the desired effect? |

I would give anything to be an A or B cup just so I could get a button up shirt to fit and didn't have the HUGE bounce when I ride. My shoulders are killing me. I'm not overweight at all, and even when I have been heavier and lost weight, unfortunately my boobs never changed. :(
I can completely understand why you would want to do this and why others have chosen to do it, but I would surely like to go the opposite direction. |

Yep, same reason I'd like to get mine done. It's not to impress men or my husband, I just want them.
The VS bras are great, but at the end of the day, they come off and I still have to look in the mirror. I just don't like them. |

I would love to and have read up on the procedure, but have a couple of friends who have done it and the results haven't been permanent for them and the recovery is really long from what I understand. |

| My sister in-law got hers done last year. They lived in North Carolina at the time and she did a lot of research on her doctor. She went with saline because they would look more natural after time and if one burst it wouldn't be as dangerous. She paid 4000. Went from a size A to a C. Her doctor told her he would only implant the largest size that would fit her body and look natural and if she was looking for an enormous size than she would have to go somewhere else. She had no bruising, scars are very little. they went in underneath the breast not the arm pit. She probably could have gotten a D and it still look proportionate to her body.

I heard that they have to remove the nipple and then reattach it after they remove tissue. Lots of time off after that |

For those of you considering reduction, not sure what to tell ya as far as a plan. Maybe tell the guys you will post bikini pics right BEFORE you go in for the procedure??
I am a size one, and the only time I ever had a set was when I was nursing. I was lucky enough for the rest of me to drop back to regular size pretty much right after having the kids, but kept a very healthy pair of tata's until I quit nursing (I nursed continuously for five years - the first until second was born two years later, the second until she was three). It was nice, but not enough to have another little one! At 44 I'm still a size one, but B cup (and I am starting to think that what WAS in my boobs has somehow started migrating to my lower booty - cruel trick that one).
A friend of mine had augmentation, and she loves it five years later. Was a longer recovery time than I would have expected.
So....what ya think...Bikinis for Boobies fund?? JK, but I'm bored today. |

I had mine done in 2000 so it was obviously cheaper then. That was when silicone was a big no no but I think they are back and I recommend them. I was tall and thin (so I understand how you feel) and my surgeon recommended a C to look natural. I wish I had gone D but that is my only hindsight- other than I wish I had done them when I was 18 or 20.
I will say that tearing your sternum muscles away from your chest is likely the most painful thing I have yet encountered. |

Ok. I have had a reduction and I will tell you it was THE BEST thing I have ever done. I was a 34 H after my two children. They did the key hole surgery where they do detach and reattach the nipple. The smallest she could make me and look natural was a D. They removed 4 lbs!!! When I woke up it was like someone had lifted a huge rock off of my chest. I was riding again in 4 weeks. I recommend the surgery to every large chested woman. It has made such a huge. Difference in my life. The worst part of the surgery was recovering bc I was stir crazy and wanted to go do things bc I felt so fantastic. Since I had the more invasive procedure I do have scaring. But it's not that bad and I would do it all over again in a heart beat. Seriously if you have back pain neck pain huge dents in your shoulders from bras. Look into reductions. It would change your life. Also insurance might cover it. Mine did! |

Hahaha! I'm with you...I USED to be part of the IBTC, but I prayed and prayed to God for bigger boobs because veryone used to make fun of me. God was a bit too generous, as I went from an A cup to a 38 DD, and he gave me the butt and the gut to go with it as I went from a size 5 to a size 22. Now I am back to a size 9...but my boobs are still a D cup. Really annoying as they get in the way of ANYTHING even remotely athletic. So I agree...I would love to give some of y'all my extra and go back to a perky B cup. |

I currently wear a 32DDD which is NOT as big as it sounds. It is the same CUP size as a 36 B, but because I need the smaller band, I have to have the horrendously large SOUNDING cup size.
Anywho - when they are full of milk, they are nice little boobies...
When they are empty... They look like somebody threw some M&Ms into a couple of worn out socks and hung them from my chest. :(

For example, the new surgeon at the hospital is giving the female workers a discount as a form of advertising. Since he's new to the hospital, this gets his name out. I'm sure that would work very similarly with a model. Look at several different drs websites and look at the pictures. Some docs lean more toward silicone and some more toward saline, some like under the muscle and some like over. Are you broad shouldered or more narrow? Each of these will give you a different look and feel. All of them have their pros and their cons, if you work out hard though, I'd lean toward on top of the muscle. You'll be back to the gym in less than 2 weeks. |

| I'm a guy. Sorry I didn't follow the directions. My wife had breast augmentation surgery. It was extremely hard on our marriage. In 21 years of marriage, it was literally the only problem we ever had. I wouldn't say we have worked thru it yet either, and it's been 18 months ago. I'm sure people will say that it's insecurity on "my" behalf. That's not the problem at all. I just don't don't like the new ones. They creep me out. I apologize to all the ladies who have had it done, and hope that both you, and the men in your life are happy with them. They are just not for me. I actually feel quit bad about how I feel. A big part of our problem, was not discussing the surgery enough, before she had it. I figured it was her body, and in time I'd either get used to it, or learn to like it, but I didn't. |

Her and a friend of mine ended up having a reduction last year because they were just too darn big. I have considered getting it done as well. I was always a very full C and at 5'1 and 105 pounds I felt pretty good about myself lol. However, after having 2 babies and expanding to a DD after giving birth and then breastfeeding each one for 2 years they have deflated haha! I am now barely a B cup and sometimes it makes me sad how "empty" they are. You're not alone, but I don't know if I want something foreign in my body permanently for simple vanity. Good luck with your decision. |

- I don't ever regret having it done. (Well maybe when I'm doing sprints. Lol :-)
- cost $5500
- found my surgeon since my friend had him. But I did meet with 3 other doctors that were highly recommended through Yelp in the area. Just to double check I was going to be happy with my dr. Choice.
- not painful (but I do have a very high pain tolerance) I was back to work 4 days after surgery.
- everyone says go bigger than you think you want. I didn't believe them so went with what I thought. Yep , wish I'd gone a little bigger.
- oh and my husband has No issues with them. He was with me before I had them and After. He was also with me through my whole weightless (boob loss) in the beginning.
I think that's everything. But PM me if you have any other questions.

Location: Washington | Just had mine done Friday morning. Pain is manageable with Tylenol for me. Cost $5300. Was referred to my doctor by a friend.
I was barely a B after having two kids. Doc says I should be a full C, almost D at VS, I had 350cc saline implants, sub-muscular. I go in for post op appt today but so far I am tickled. I was able to drive the next morning. I lack upper body strength now, first day was hard to open any child proof medicine bottles lol
I have never been happy with my ta-tas, so I was more then happy to go in when my husband suggested it. There is a previous post about putting M&M's in a sock, a couple friends and I explain it as 1/2 filled sandwich bags with water hanging there.
They have changed the silicone ones now where they dont "leak" if they rupture the gel stays with the implant and causes the breast to look atrophied over time, like years, where a saline you'll end up with a flat by the end of the day. Doc also said they all come with 10 year warranty. Saline are cheaper then silicone and cheaper to replace. |

However I would think that between (5-8) thousand is your average and I would definitely go on to a plastic surgeons website to look at before and after pictures that describe the type of augmentation they preformed to get a good idea of what you want . |
