I'm thinking about adopting a Mini Donkey to be a companion for my horses and my farm mascot - however I'm wondering if my fences will be okay to keep one in. I have all galvanized throughout my entire place - 5 foot high, 4 rail.
I thought I heard someone say that it is hard to keep Mini Donks inside that type of fence so does anyone have any experiences they could share with me?
Thanks!

I have 11 mini donkeys (yes, eleven lol) and mine are very easy keepers. We had 4 strand barb wire when I first got them and a portion of our pasture had the 3 board PVC fencing. The only problem I ever had was 2 of the babies would crawl underneath the bottom board of the PVC fence. We have since replaced with a 4 board wood fence and haven't had any problems. You will love the donkey, they are so fun and very good guardians :)

12 ft high block walls might work! My mini only stays in her pasture because she wants to. Hot wire, field fence, boards, nothing can keep her in when she decided to roam!

Can't believe I'm saying this but it sounds like my mini donks are easy! Even though they are half wild and are totally untrained lol they stay put in the pasture with no climb fencing or in their pen with panel fencing. Sounds like you might not know until you bring it home. Good luck! They are such fun little guys!
