I have a mare with a ligament injury on rear leg and have been looking for something to help us get better faster - Can someone give me the low down on what makes that BOT stuff work good? Magnetics/etc...

The BOT will speed up blood flow which speeds healing. It works like a sweat basically. Uses the body's heat. I put sore no more on then the wraps. Laser works great and so does the Theraplate in combination with the BOT.

I used these on my gelding that tore his suspensory. Best thing I ever did for him I think. My vet is a big believer in anything that increases circulation. He tore his in September and by our ultrasound in January the vet couldn't find the tear anymore. I continued giving him an additional 6 months off because I was away at college anyway, but I am glad I use the quick wraps. Plus they are just nice to have. I always use them on him when we are hauling. He seems to warm up better after he's been wearing them.

I'm a big believer in them as I use them on me too. My husband was a big sceptic but he had a case of what I assume was tennis elbow. Walked around complaining for forever. Finally convinced him to my BOT elbow brace on. After 2 days he says 'you know I think this thing is actually helping'. When my mare suffered a horrific injury on a back leg her front legs swelled horrible from all the weight. I put Bot quick wraps on and no more swelling. Used them on and off everyday and fixed the problem.
I also agree with the laser, my vet used laser on the mare abodes back leg injury and WOW. I couldn't believe the difference in her. Healing and pain control.

I use the quick wraps every night on my mare (stalled at night- out during the day), in the trailer and tied up. I LOVE them. I can definitely feel a difference riding her if she doesn't have them. I just ordered some hock boots also.

For treating injuries I prefer the BOT no-bows over the quick wraps. To me you just can't get the quick wraps as compressive as you can with the no-bows and that can be an important factor in reducing inflammation that comes along with injuries.
