| We bought my daughter a pony in September. She had been rode alot and was fit but chubby. Now that she is shed off she is fat (plus the fact my 35 lb daughter weighs nothing on her). My husband is sure she's bred, I keep telling him she's fat. Keep in mind I wouldn't have a clue since I have geldings.
So let's talk worst case scenario.....If the pony is bred and has a baby what do I do!!!! Can my daughter still ride her pony? How quick could I wean it? Can you take it to shows with you? He made me so flustered and mad at lunch I'm just stumped...HELP! |

My neighbors have a couple mini's and a jack. Every year they have a couple little mule colts. Really cute little buggers but that jack is so loud. One of these days he will go missing...mark my words! |

Location: Texas | So glad someone else is going through this as well. Hubby's new head horse we bought in the fall was sure looking fat and had a huge belly no matter what I wormed her with. Took her in last week She due in about 25 days (face palm). Maiden mare. Of course started to bag up two days ago as I scramble to set up foaling stall etc. our vet said to halter break jr. And take it with us to ropings. So that's the game plan. We've weaned before at 3 months but don't like to really wean until 6 months. GOOD LUCK!! And I don't know about where you are but the mule market seems a lot steadier then the horse market! |

LRQHS. Ours will probably be a short ear. Talked to the old owner he had a stud get out. But he have her the lutalyse shot and didn't think anything of it. BUT if it comes out with long ears. Your name is the TOP of the list! Our mare is a dunskin snowflake app and the stud that escaped was a bay paint. I'm scared to see what's going to come out. |

Location: So Cal | You didn't get her at a sale in Southern California did you? I got a couple and they had been holding them in pens with studs mixed with mares, so I'm still paranoid about my chubby mini. (It was in September) |

See my husband is irritated with me because I had her at the vet a month ago but by the time we got to her to work on teeth I was shot! My daughters gelding had undergone an extraction (unplanned) and the other one I brought was being a butt so by the time we got to her I was like "lets just get it done"!!! |

| I did check with her. It's kind of a "maybe, maybe not, not suppose to be" thing because the lady she purchased her from was a "wheeler dealer collector" . I guess it is what it is. I guess we can check and see or I can continue living in denial until something appears some morning, LOL! This will be me at every barrel race this summer, spiked coffee!
