I am working on getting my barrel horse in shape. They are having my local open rodeo this week. I wasn't planning on running in it. However, lots of people are wanting me to run. What is the best thing to rub my horse down with or give him after each workout to help him for soreness this week to help him if I walk up and run?

I would think 1 run isn't going to make them totally sore if you've been riding for more than 3-4 weeks.  Just make sure you warm up and cool down properly.
If your horse has only been ridden a week or two, who cares if people want you to enter...your horse or their wants?

I like to squirt some absorbine liniment on my boys. They start twitching their backs around and then start licking and chewing. http://absorbine.com/products/muscle-care/absorbine-veterinary-lini... Thermaflex works good too :)
