I want to know about fly sheets for the legs. I live in Florida so it's REALLY hot and humid. He mostly gets flies around his ankles. Have you used those leg wraps? They all seem like they'd get too hot for me and was just wondering what your experiences with them were, do they stay on?
And of course, what kind of fly sheet do you recommend? I'm always scared to buy them because I don't want one I have to replace every year.

Kensington! I live in MN and we get days of 100+ temp and humidity. I use fly boots on my horses that are super sensitive and constantly stomping, the only fly boots I have had success staying in place and breathable are Kensington. Kensington have great fly sheets as well, they last forever and if yours somehow tears or something call them up and they will send you a new one. They are pricey but they last forever!

I don't mind paying the price if it last!
Awesome! I'm so glad someone uses the boots! I was really skeptical about them.

Absolutely love the cashel crusader fly boots. I bought my gelding a set last year after dealing with abscesses due to the constant stomping. I put them on during the day and took them off at night. They held up with virtually no wear last summer so I'll be able to use the same set again this year. In the hottest part of the summer he did have a few sweat marks but the majority of the time his legs were nice and cool. They stay in place really well. I plan to buy sets for my other three this year as soon as my bank account allows it lol.

I have to say Kensington too. I have a pair for several horses that I have in the corral on and off. They get to where they love them. They see me coming with them in the am and are like "Oh thank GOSH!"
