Location: USA | I like MAKEUP FOREVER HD formula. You can get it at Sephora. It covers well, has a matte finish so you don't need powder, and it's not heavy at all. I don't like pancake makeup and you get the coverage without the heavyness. And it comes in a bunch of different shades. |

| Merle Norman LASTING MAKEUP. You will not sweat it off. You so need a good makeup remover to clean your face though. I wear it everyday. Bare Minerals says it will not come off it you sweat but mine dripped off in big tan drops--it was awful. |

That stuff will break you out if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. |

Location: Oklahoma | I have tried all the above (except the MN) and plenty plenty plenty more and for me it all narrows down to using primer. My makeup will last in some places and get patchy in others (due to my lack of crappy skin..) and primer really helps a lot. It's not a perfect fix for me, but it beats spending hundreds on foundations. |

lol I was going to say mud... No matter how hard I try I ended covered in it anyway. If I wear anything it's usually a bit of eyeliner and it's made by revlon. |

^^ I used this for a few weeks and HATED it. I though it was very heavy/cake-y feeling. To the OP, I dont wear much for face makeup when its hot, as nothing really stays on! But for everyday use now (in the rare case where Im going somewhere and put on a foundation lol) I use AmorePacific moisturizer tint with Marc Jacobs powder over it with a little bronzer. LOVE it. You can't even tell you're wearing make up. But I need very little coverage as well... |

| I put the LASTING makeup on to go mow the grass, work horses in the round pen etc. It has a sunscreen and it keeps dirt out of my pores. I have always taken care of my skin. I finally had to start seeing a dermatologist (had a basal cell thingy on my back) and the Dr can't believe how good my skin looks. I am 64. |

Agreed! Really good stuff. I think you can also get it in a travel size from sephora.com to try out before buying a large bottle, Ben Nye makes a good one too. I have a friend who is a makeup artist and she swears by airbrushing but I have yet to try it outdoors all day in the heat and I can't bring myself to shell out the $$ to buy a kit, there are too many bits I haven't added to my tack hoarding situation yet to drop that much cash on makeup lol

Ditto! I love MN. Been using it for years. Hair spray will help to. Make sure you close you eyes and just barly push the sprayer and it will stay all day and won't be sticky. |

| Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Some people like its too think but I like it and it will cover a bullet hole in your face I swear. A use a make-up primer, a use EL highlight and contour BB creme, double wear, then double wear powder, and a make-up setting spray. My make-up does NOT come off until I want it to come off when I do these steps. |

| My face tends to get shiny, and makeup will literally melt off! I learned some great tricks when I was MRSD! For my "rodeo queen face" that would last 18+ hours through anything, I used (in order of application):
Bare Minerals shine control primer
MAC Studio Finish Concealer
MAC Studio Fix, Pro Longwear or Matchmaster foundation (the Pro Longwear can get a bit cakey if you're not careful, but I've gone 18 hour days with it on, skipped washing my face that night, slept 3 hours and touched up with powder in the morning, and it lasted another whole day! Studio Fix has more shade options, but I've had the best luck with a natural look that lasts with the Matchmaster)
MAC Studio CareBlend Pressed Powder
Skindinavia Shine Control Setting Spray
The Smashbox Photo Setting loose powder is AWESOME too! It seemed like most of the other queens last year used MAC for their foundation at least too. It is definitely pricier than the drugstore brands (~$30/30-35 mL bottle), but I end up not using nearly as much. They have a great return policy too, so if there isn't a counter near you that you can get matched at, you can order a few different shades and see what works best. I have to order it online, because there are no stores in SD or ND that sell it! |

This is what I wear. A tube will last a long time because a little bit goes a long way. I have naturally oily skin so I also wear Merle Norman Ultra Powder over it. As long as I don't WIPE off sweat, it will stay put all day. I will pat my face with my sleeve, a towel, napkin, whatever because I do sweat a lot- I just make sure not to wipe. If my skin starts looking oily, I can add a small amount of powder, although I typically don't have makeup in the trailer unless I am running late and did it in the truck LOL.
As someone else mentioned, I do often go the arena dirt route though LOL! For some weird reason in my own head, I will go bare at barrel races and wear makeup at rodeos. I also do the messy bun on top of my head at barrel races and wear my hair down at rodeos. |

| I'm not sure how much coverage you need (sometimes I need a lot and sometimes I need a little depending on my hormones, haha) but since I've gotten off birth control I don't need that much and I'm in love with Loreal BB cream! It's just enough to even out my skin tone and looks natural! It seems to last a good while and feels like I have nothing on! |

| I'll also add that I usually just wear mascara (the green and pink tube) and sometimes I'll wear some bronzer or highlighter on my cheeks and under my eyebrows and the best I've found for the bronzer is by Cargo (really any kind could be fine) and just about any highlighting eye shadow works for me. Stays on pretty good in my opinion! |

I agree barefaced is best with a little sunblock but I just like a little something to even out my complection and the "fit me" foundation stick is great and light just wears off in a couple hours. Will def try some of these ideas though |

Location: Texas | I've just been using a tinted moisturizer with a little loose powder over top. It's wonderful for hot, summer days, won't melt off or clog up your pores like heavy makeup. My favorite is by NARS and I get it at Sephora. |
